Menopause

Menopause is the natural biological process marked by the end of a woman's menstrual cycles and reproductive years, typically occurring between the ages of 45 and 55. It is officially diagnosed when a woman has gone 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period. Menopause is caused by a decline in the production of hormones, particularly estrogen and progesterone, by the ovaries. This hormonal change can lead to various physical and emotional symptoms, including hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, and vaginal dryness. Menopause is a normal part of aging and signifies the conclusion of fertility, but its experience can vary widely among individuals.
